Dr. Lydia Lancaster is passionate about helping people with her passion for oral healthcare and orthodontics by creating beautiful, functional smiles. Creating a positive relationship with her patients is the most satisfying part of the job for her.  She was inspired to enter dentistry by her hometown general dentist, a longtime mentor.  While doing her dental school studies, she decided to specialize in orthodontics.

Dr. Lancaster earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at Rhodes College in 2011 and her DDS, MS in Dentistry, and Certificate in Orthodontics at The Ohio State University. She is passionate about timing treatment for each patient’s individual growth and development. She is also pursuing additional training in airway and obstructive sleep apnea management, as well as advancing her TMD therapies.

In her free time, Dr. Lancaster likes to travel and spend time with her husband, Adam, and her standard poodle, Hugo.

Whether it be skiing, cycling, or hiking together, she loves outdoor activities with her family.  She is also a lifelong musician. She was a choir enthusiast throughout her adolescence and has been a pianist since the age of six.  She is also a big OSU Buckeye fan, especially during football season.

Having grown up in a farming family in rural Southeast Missouri, she is very grateful to live in Nashville, being much closer to her roots.  She and her family love being part of Music City, serving the Middle Tennessee community and beyond.

After working in the Nashville metropolitan area for almost a year now, Dr. Lancaster is enthusiastic about the future of her role in this practice. She appreciates the special culture of the Centre of Holistic and Biological Dentistry, which aligns greatly with her own orthodontic philosophy of early expansion and non-extraction.
